I'll follow up on my own post (minus the log) to note that
most of the errors I was getting for inbound faxes were
caused by the bit order being inversed for inbound faxes.

However, even after changing this, I still get a few errors
(2 to 5), and the data is still unusable.  I'm attaching my
config file for the modem, in the hope that somebody may
find the answer to my problem.
