I am having problems with HylaFax on a freebsd machine. As you can see below it connects, but quits pretty quickly. I have tried to 2 "good" fax machines. The modem handles data ok, i.e. I can dial an ISP. The fax modem is also OK under Windows 95. The modem config file is at the end, but here is the head of that file: # # Configuration for using the Class 2.0 command interface # with a USR v.34 Courier or Sporster modem. # # RTS/CTS flow control is used default. # # Your facsimile job to 5551616 failed because: Unspecified Transmit Phase B error; too many attempts to send ---- Transcript of session follows ---- Oct 16 09:19:06.62: [13816]: SESSION BEGIN 00000007 15105551616 Oct 16 09:19:06.62: [13816]: SEND FAX: JOB 2 DEST 5551616 COMMID 00000007 Oct 16 09:19:06.62: [13816]: DELAY 2600 ms Oct 16 09:19:09.23: [13816]: <-- [17:ATE0V1Q0X4S0=0H0\r] Oct 16 09:19:09.37: [13816]: --> [2:OK] Oct 16 09:19:09.37: [13816]: <-- [32:ATS8=2S7=60&H1&I0&R2S13=1&D2&C1\r] Oct 16 09:19:09.51: [13816]: --> [2:OK] Oct 16 09:19:09.51: [13816]: <-- [14:AT+FCLASS=2.0\r] Oct 16 09:19:09.64: [13816]: --> [2:OK] Oct 16 09:19:09.64: [13816]: <-- [9:AT+FLO=2\r] Oct 16 09:19:09.77: [13816]: --> [2:OK] Oct 16 09:19:09.77: [13816]: <-- [9:AT+FPP=0\r] Oct 16 09:19:09.90: [13816]: --> [2:OK] Oct 16 09:19:09.90: [13816]: <-- [9:AT+FBO=0\r] Oct 16 09:19:10.03: [13816]: --> [2:OK] Oct 16 09:19:10.03: [13816]: <-- [10:AT+FCT=30\r] Oct 16 09:19:10.17: [13816]: --> [2:OK] Oct 16 09:19:10.17: [13816]: <-- [15:AT+FNR=1,1,1,1\r] Oct 16 09:19:10.31: [13816]: --> [2:OK] Oct 16 09:19:10.31: [13816]: <-- [9:AT+FIE=0\r] Oct 16 09:19:10.44: [13816]: --> [2:OK] Oct 16 09:19:10.44: [13816]: <-- [23:AT+FCC=1,5,2,2,0,0,0,0\r] Oct 16 09:19:10.58: [13816]: --> [2:OK] Oct 16 09:19:10.58: [13816]: <-- [5:ATM0\r] Oct 16 09:19:10.71: [13816]: --> [2:OK] Oct 16 09:19:10.72: [13816]: <-- [14:AT+FCLASS=2.0\r] Oct 16 09:19:10.96: [13816]: --> [2:OK] Oct 16 09:19:10.96: [13816]: <-- [9:AT+FLO=2\r] Oct 16 09:19:11.19: [13816]: --> [2:OK] Oct 16 09:19:11.19: [13816]: <-- [9:AT+FPP=0\r] Oct 16 09:19:11.42: [13816]: --> [2:OK] Oct 16 09:19:11.42: [13816]: <-- [9:AT+FBO=0\r] Oct 16 09:19:11.65: [13816]: --> [2:OK] Oct 16 09:19:11.65: [13816]: <-- [10:AT+FCT=30\r] Oct 16 09:19:11.89: [13816]: --> [2:OK] Oct 16 09:19:11.89: [13816]: <-- [15:AT+FNR=1,1,1,1\r] Oct 16 09:19:12.13: [13816]: --> [2:OK] Oct 16 09:19:12.13: [13816]: <-- [9:AT+FIE=0\r] Oct 16 09:19:12.36: [13816]: --> [2:OK] Oct 16 09:19:12.36: [13816]: <-- [23:AT+FCC=1,5,2,2,0,0,0,0\r] Oct 16 09:19:12.60: [13816]: --> [2:OK] Oct 16 09:19:12.60: [13816]: <-- [16:AT+FLI="Hazard"\r] Oct 16 09:19:12.84: [13816]: --> [2:OK] Oct 16 09:19:12.84: [13816]: DIAL 5551616 Oct 16 09:19:12.84: [13816]: <-- [12:ATDT5551616\r] Oct 16 09:19:22.08: [13816]: --> [4:+FCO] Oct 16 09:19:24.54: [13816]: --> [15:+FNF:+FCI:" ] Oct 16 09:19:24.54: [13816]: REMOTE NSF "+FCI:"" Oct 16 09:19:24.54: [13816]: --> [32: 5105551616"+FIS:1,5,0,2,1] Oct 16 09:19:24.54: [13816]: --> [43:0,0,3;<~[<Y\=|i] Oct 16 09:19:24.65: [13816]: --> [57:@)eQ+v@hmBzdBeB0F`kG{@&] Oct 16 09:19:25.33: [13816]: --> [18:K] Oct 16 09:19:25.33: [13816]: --> [58::1,5,0,2,1,0,0,3;<~[<Y\=|i8m] Oct 16 09:19:25.48: [13816]: --> [25:A"# A}] Oct 16 09:19:25.95: [13816]: --> [33:tC'lAfqQK@A9] Oct 16 09:19:26.67: [13816]: --> [2:] Oct 16 09:19:26.67: [13816]: --> [33:@iWQFOiC?g5v^] Oct 16 09:19:27.18: [13816]: --> [23: T.s024] Oct 16 09:19:27.18: [13816]: --> [2:OK] Oct 16 09:19:27.18: [13816]: REMOTE HANGUP: Unspecified Transmit Phase B error (code 20) Oct 16 09:19:27.18: [13816]: SEND FAILED: Unspecified Transmit Phase B error Oct 16 09:19:27.18: [13816]: SEND FAILED: Unspecified Transmit Phase B error; too many attempts to send Oct 16 09:19:27.18: [13816]: <-- [5:ATH0\r] Oct 16 09:19:27.41: [13816]: --> [2:OK] Oct 16 09:19:27.43: [13816]: SESSION END ---- Unsent job status ---- Destination: 5551616 JobID: 2 GroupID: 2 Sender: John Hazard Mailaddr: hazard@hazard CommID: 00000007 Submitted From: localhost Page Width: 215 (mm) Page Length: 279 (mm) Resolution: 98 (lpi) Status: Unspecified Transmit Phase B error; too many attempts to send Dialogs: 3 (exchanges with remote device) Dials: 0 (consecutive failed calls to destination) Calls: 3 (total phone calls placed) Pages: 0 (pages transmitted) TotPages: 1 (total pages to transmit) Attempts: 0 (attempts to send current page) Dirnum: 0 (directory of next page to send) ---- Documents submitted for transmission ---- The following documents were submitted for transmission and are available on the server for reuse until they are automatically purged when this job is removed.
