E-mail notification of sendmail faxes?

I'm new to hylafax so forgive me if the answer is obvious to the initiated, but 
is there a mechanism I haven't discovered or a script somewhere that sends the 
same kind of confirmation one gets with the -D parameter to sendfax - only 
directed at the sender of the E-mail that got faxed?  There's mention of the 
difficulties of parsing all different kinds of E-Mail addresses - with respect 
to setting up an authorization scheme to screen those submitting E-mail to 
faxmail.  Has this prevented the E-mailing of confirmations?
