    Are you sure you provided the right number? I don't think there are
    too many places in the developed world that only have 3-number
    telephone numbers. Check out your dialrules file for unexpected number
    translation.

Perhaps Ingo is testing inside a PBX? Many PBX have 2- or 3-digits
telephone numbers.
